Your Role in a Nutshell:
As a Solutions Sales Specialist for Data & AI, you will be responsible for driving revenue and customer engagement across Microsoft’s Data and AI portfolio. You’ll guide organizations in discovering the value of data transformation and AI innovation, with a strong focus on Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse Analytics, and OpenAI. You will play a pivotal role in helping clients unlock insights and build intelligent business outcomes.
What You Will Do:
Drive Strategic Sales & Growth
- Build go-to-market strategies and execute demand-gen activities in partnership with Microsoft.
- Achieve or exceed monthly revenue targets, usage metrics, and co-sell goals.
- Guide clients in accessing Microsoft funding programs (AIM, AMMP, etc.) to accelerate POCs and deployments.
Land & Expand:
- New Business (Enterprise & Mid-Market):
- Lead consultative selling motions on Azure Data, Synapse, Fabric, OpenAI, and Power BI.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects to craft tailored client proposals.
- Account Expansion:
- Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities in Azure SQL Migrations, Machine Learning, and Microsoft Copilot integrations.
Client Engagement & Enablement
- Run discovery workshops using Challenger or SPIN methodology.
- Deliver compelling demos and solution walkthroughs aligned to industry verticals.
- Guide clients through data strategy, governance, and AI enablement journeys.
Partner & Internal Collaboration
- Align with Microsoft Partner Development Managers and Account Executives.
- Coordinate with Delivery, Presales, and Marketing teams to ensure end-to-end customer success.
Pipeline Management & Market Insight
- Maintain clean CRM pipelines and provide accurate forecasting.
- Stay on top of market trends: Responsible AI, Data Fabric architecture, and Microsoft’s evolving AI roadmap.
What We Look For:
- 3–5 years of sales or pre-sales experience in tech solutions, ideally focused on data platforms, cloud, or analytics.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Data stack: Synapse, Fabric, OpenAI, Cosmos DB, Azure ML, Power BI.
- Strong consultative selling skills with CxO exposure.
- Microsoft Certifications (e.g., Azure Data Fundamentals, AI Fundamentals) are a strong plus.
- Excellent communication and storytelling ability.
- Curious, adaptable, and purpose-driven—you’re excited to solve problems with data and AI.
