The role in a nutshell:
The Senior Technical Consultant – D365 Business Central is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high‑quality Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions in line with technical specifications and business requirements. The role works closely with internal stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to ensure robust, scalable, and efficient solutions, while contributing to continuous improvement, presales support, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
What you will do in this role:
- Design, develop, and unit test Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions based on approved technical specifications.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clearly understand and translate technical and business requirements into effective solutions.
- Participate in pre-sales activities such as solution discussions, technical validation, and effort estimations when required.
- Provide accurate effort estimates and technical input for project planning and delivery.
- Actively contribute to solution design discussions, brainstorming sessions, and technical reviews with functional and technical teams.
- Deliver assigned tasks according to agreed milestones, ensuring adherence to scope, quality standards, and timelines.
- Ensure optimal code structure, performance, and maintainability in compliance with established technical and development standards.
- Proactively suggest improvements to application design, development processes, and alternative technical approaches.
- Develop and extend Business Central solutions using AL language, APIs, and integration frameworks.
- Evaluate, integrate, and support third‑party applications and external system integrations.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams to ensure collaborative and successful software delivery.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of core Business Central modules including Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, and Warehousing.
- Engage in continuous learning, certification, and knowledge sharing related to Dynamics 365 Business Central and the Microsoft Power Platform.
Qualifications Expected:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in Information Technology, Business Management, Finance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Microsoft Dynamics certifications (such as MB‑800, MB‑820) are considered a strong advantage.
Experience Expected:
- Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central development using AL language.
- Proven experience working on end‑to‑end ERP implementations, customizations, and enhancements.
- Exposure to third‑party integrations and external system connectivity.
Skills Expected:
- Strong technical expertise in Dynamics 365 Business Central, AL development, extensions, and APIs.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate and support colleagues.
- Positive attitude toward continuous learning, certification, and professional growth.
