The role in a nutshell:

The ‘Systems Engineer – Cloud (HDCI)’ collaborates with the pre-sales, service, engineering, and technical support resources for providing technical expertise and assistance on proposed engagements that accurately address customer needs. The candidate requires a strong understanding of Microsoft products and services and other related technologies, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

What you will do in this role:

  • Designing, implementing, and managing highly available, and scalable cloud infrastructure on the Azure platform.
  • Developing and maintaining cloud migration strategies, including assessing existing systems, identifying gaps, and recommending remediation plans.
  • Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions
  • Implementing and optimizing cloud-based solutions, including virtual networks, storage, compute resources, and identity management.
  • Defining and enforcing cloud governance policies, including resource tagging, access controls, and cost management.
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to Azure infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Azure and cloud computing technologies and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Designing/Developing Scripts for Automation on Azure.
  • Ensuring the security, availability, and performance of Azure resources through proper design and configuration.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting all installed systems and infrastructure; installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools.
  • Demonstrate customer obsession in their daily tasks by offering support in the form of technical remediations, raising and closing tickets and escalating issues to the next level, when an issue can’t be remediated, while maintaining SLA.
  • Proactively scope the technical support required to address customer requirements, assess customers met and unmet needs, and recommend solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the company.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams such as pre-sales, and technical services, to align services delivery with customers’ business requirements.
  • Drive for efficient, high quality technical delivery to ensure timely response to queries, resolution of problems, and reporting/escalation of unresolved issues.
  • Adopt and get proficient in new technologies and provide coaching and professional development to team-members and associates to enhance their product knowledge and technical skills.
  • Collaborate and coordinate closely with technical and field services personnel, and customer IT technical staff when needed.
  • Compiling documentation, reports and delivering presentations to staff members and other stakeholders.
  • Develop specific technical and professional proficiency to enable you to understand and resolve customer issues, through training, certifications and readiness.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Good knowledge of Azure infrastructure, services, and offerings, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Networking, Azure Front Door, WAF and Microsoft Entra ID
  • Should have a successful track record in architecting, designing, implementing, and managing systems and infrastructure in a cloud computing environment, including multi-cloud hybrid architectures
  • Certified in Microsoft Azure Administrator or Architect Expert level
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology (IT), or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in Microsoft solution areas and system administration
  • 2+ years of working experience with Azure cloud platform and 2+ years of experience in any areas of technical support, product support, IT Admin support, Consulting, and end-user support for Microsoft technologies
  • Knowledge in Microsoft on-premises services such as Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, DFS & RDS.
  • Hands on experience and knowledge in Microsoft on-premises and cloud infrastructure services on following areas but not limited to Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Security, Microsoft Data and Core Infrastructure, Azure with deployment, upgrade, migration, and troubleshooting are a must.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to do the right thing under pressure and tight deadlines and shift basis.
  • Microsoft Technology Certifications in on-premises and Cloud infrastructure technologies will be extra advantage.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills-both oral and written.
  • Strong learning skills to demonstrate fast adoption of new technologies.

Working Conditions:

  • The role may require working outside regular hours, including late evenings or weekends, as needed to support the 24×7 engineering team and business demands.
