Job purpose:
We are looking for Systems Engineer to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding application infrastructure & cloud services business. You will be part of a talented team of global engineers that will demonstrate in-depth technical competencies, delivering mission-critical infrastructure & cloud services and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.
What you will do in this role:
- Plan, design, and implement Microsoft 365 solutions to meet business requirements.
- Migrate existing services to Microsoft 365, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Configure and optimize Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Manage and monitor all installed Microsoft systems and infrastructure (Active Directory, System Center products, Exchange Server etc.) for customers.
- Implementation, support, and maintenance of corresponding products.
- Install, configure, test, and maintain server operating systems, applications and system management tools.
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Design and implement system security and data assurance.
- Participate in the design of Microsoft infrastructure solutions for on-premises or cloud services.
- Ensure security and confidentiality are always maintained.
- Take ownership of the services, incidents and problems assigned to infrastructure services.
- Provide timely and professional communication to all levels of the business.
- Provide 24/7 Level 2 and 3 infrastructure support services to the business to agreed service levels.
- Accountable for the delivery of the SLA (Service Level Agreement) and project objectives within the infrastructure and cloud related solution areas.
- Fully versed in Microsoft Services Infrastructure Services (Windows Server, Active Directory, SharePoint Server, SQL Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Hyper-V etc.) will be an added advantage.
- Any Microsoft 365 related security solution experience or certifications will be an added advantage.
- Any Azure related deployments such as migration experience or new deployments on Azure will be an added advantage.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent experience. Engineering or related discipline is highly recommended.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
- Strong understanding of Azure Active Directory and related identity management concepts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and device management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including preparing solution proposals, blueprints, project plans, etc.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- 1-2 years of experience in IT Infrastructure Implementation, Administration, Management & Support on the respective solution areas.
- 1-2 years’ (Systems Engineer) of experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, SharePoint Server, SQL Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, Hyper-V, IT Infrastructure administration and management.
- Microsoft certifications for respective solution areas mentioned above are a mandatory requirement.
- ITIL certification will be an added advantage.
- Any other security solution certification will be an added advantage.
- Manage Engine certification will be an added advantage.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with standard Maldives office hours (Sunday to Thursday, 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM).
- May require occasional evening or weekend work for system maintenance or issue resolution.
- Hybrid work environment with options for physical work as needed.
