The role in a nutshell:

The ‘Senior Systems Engineer’ collaborates with the sales and pre-sales, engineering, and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers. He/she is responsible for achieving a profit and productivity quota made up of the combined expectations of the organization.

What you will do in this role:

  • You own, investigate and solve complex customer technical issues and act as a advisor to the customer, collaborating within and across teams and leveraging troubleshooting tools and practices.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting all installed systems and infrastructure; installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools.
  • Demonstrate customer obsession in their daily tasks by offering support in the form of technical remediations, raising and closing tickets and escalating issues to the next level, when an issue can’t be remediated, while maintaining SLA.
  • Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the company
  • Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
  • Provides coaching and professional development to team-member sales associates in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
  • Drive for efficient, high quality technical support services to ensure timely response to queries, resolution of problems, and reporting/escalation of unresolved issues.
  • Adopt and get proficient in new technologies and provide coaching and professional development to team-members and associates to enhance their product knowledge and technical skills.
  • Collaborate and coordinate closely with technical and field services personnel, and IT customer IT technical staff when needed.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology (IT), or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Enterprise grade Monitoring, Management and Security services and solution areas and system administration
  • 3+ years of experience in any areas of technical support, product support, IT Admin support, Consulting, and end-user support for Microsoft technologies
  • Knowledge in Microsoft on-premises and cloud infrastructure services such as but not limited to Windows Server, Active Directory, Endpoint Detection and Prevention, Monitoring, Storage, and related services.
  • Hands on experience in deployment, upgrade, migration, and troubleshooting are a must.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to do the right thing under pressure and tight deadlines and shift basis.
  • Technology Certifications in on-premises and Cloud infrastructure technologies.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills-both oral and written.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to do the right thing under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong learning skills to demonstrate fast adoption of new technologies.

Working Conditions:

  • Working late hours and weekends would be required as part of 24×7 engineering team on roster basis.
