The role in a nutshell:

Junior Project Manager is responsible for all the projects under his or her stream and heads the project teams throughout the project.

What you will do in this role:

Project Planning

  1. Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management.
  2. Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
  3. Determine the resources (time, cost, equipment, etc) required to complete the project.
  4. Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
  5. Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.
  6. Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.

 

 

Project Human Resource Management

  1. In consultation with the appropriate manager, recruit, interview and select staff and/or volunteers with appropriate skills for the project activities.
  2. Manage project staff and/or volunteers according to the established process, policies and practices of the organization.
  3. Contract qualified consultants to work on the project as appropriate.

 

 

Project Implementation, monitoring & Controlling

  1. Execute the project according to the project execution plan.
  2. Develop forms and records to document project activities.
  3. Ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured according to organization’s ISO standards.
  4. Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
  5. Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project (Project Communication Plan).
  6. Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.
  7. Assess project risks and manage risks to mitigation.
  8. Escalations (to Head of PM, Steering Committee, Senior Management, etc.) when required, on all the project matters at critical points.
  9. Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures.
  10. Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly).
  11. Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures.
  12. Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date.
  13. Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
  14. Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
  15. Ensure customer satisfaction is met at the required level.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Education
    • BSc. From a recognized university or similar qualification
  • Specialized knowledge
    • Knowledge on SharePoint Development stack
    • Knowledge on Software Product Implementation &Rollout
    • Knowledge on ERP Implementation in any of the domain
  • Professional Certification
    • Project Management Certification (PMP, PRICE2, etc)
  • Experience
    • 2 – 3 years Project Management, planning and/or management experience

    • Make Decisions: Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
    • Organize: Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities.
    • Plan: Determine strategies to move the organization forward, set goals, create and implement actions plans, and evaluate the process and results.
    • Solve Problems: Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
